My Network Marketing Business Story

I have been involved in a wellness network marketing business for five years. I was able to grow a significant organization rather quickly because I had a large warm market and am a health professional. My health background really added to my credibility.

Just to give you an idea of the size of my warm market - I belong to a swim team, a running and triathalon club. I was also involved in a Woman's Entrepreneurial Organization. And I am closely involved in my daughter's activities which have included soccer and running. We also belong to a church and have many connections as members.

It took me 4 years but I had reached a point where I was running out of warm market. I really did not have the time to join yet another group or team...Luckily, my company released a new awesome paraben free skincare line. It was very unique and women were ecstatic about it. So I was getting lots of word of mouth referrals.

My organization was growing rapidly and I was fully expecting to reach Presidential director (the highest leadership level in my company) with all the momentum my organization was experiencing.

Then the unthinkable happened.The manufacturer could not keep up with the demand. Sounds like a good problem to have right? WRONG! One thing led to another and the product was unavailable for several months.

In addition, my MLM company ran into legal problems with the Attorney General's office that threatened to close it down. I felt like I had been hit over the head with a bat!

You guessed it! My momentum came to a screeching halt. For a brief moment I considered going back to the w... word. The thought quickly vanished when I realized I would be a slave in some one else's business!

I couldn't do it! The word quit was not a part of my vocabulary. I had to learn how to use the power of the Internet. But How? I had very limited skills both on the computer and in marketing. I had attended just about every training my company offered but...not one was about real marketing.
