Value-Based Attraction Marketing
Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 12:53PM On the first call of a series of 3 of "How I built my first list, Mike Klingler as usual, gave me lots to think about. Now the most important part is to apply that great value based information. Information is great but action is where the rubber meets the road.
With the big influx of legitimate network marketing and home based businesses onto the internet, you must stand out amidst this mass of wanna be successful internet marketers. You see most internet network marketers and home-based businesses focus on making the sale. So it really isn't different from the old methods of network marketing.
They are not practicing attraction network marketing! This represents a huge opportunity for you!
I always say do the opposite of what the masses are doing and you will be successful!
The best way to do this is to provide lots and lots of value. What does that look like?
Let me give you an example. I am the creator of a newsletter about health and wellness. Doesn't sound too special, but I have a very unique perspective in this area since I am trained both in traditional and alternative nutrition. In fact, lots of the information that I include in my newsletters is different from other resources.
I recently got an email from another nutritionist from Great Britain who is subscribed to my newsletter that really applauded my content. (Had I known a nutritionist was subscribed to my newsletter, I would have been shaking in my boots each time I broadcast my newsletter.)
I received another email from a subscriber who by mistake unsubscribed herself from my newletter and she begged me to reenroll her.
Not to pat myself on the back, but I must be doing something right?
Also my unsubcribe rate is very very low.
So I would have to say the first step to value-based attraction marketing is to really connect with who you are and identify your unique skills and talents and create a newsletter, an ebook, or a web site where you highlight your talent and have lots of fun with it.
I do have to tell you, being a perfectionist, in the beginning I avoided writing my newsletter. You see, I was so concerned that it wouldn't be good enough. So nip that in the butt right now.
It doesn't need to be perfect, just write about what you love and know about! You know more than your audience and if you don't, they will unsubscribe and who cares? There are millions of people on the Internet searching for your unique qualifications!
Now, that I have decided to have fun with it, the ideas flow and I never run out of topics to write about. I actually look forward to writing it each week! What a turnaround!
This is value-based attraction marketing at its best.
